Digital Marketing Manager

As a Digital Marketing Manager at Rational Interaction, you will build strategies, manage and execute digital marketing campaigns, including display advertising, social media advertising, and/or paid/organic search campaigns for clients in a variety of industries. You will be responsible for conducting thorough audience and competitor research, developing audience targeting strategies, providing creative suggestions, messaging, and more. Very important that you can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires excellent communication skills and a positive and collaborative attitude. This role will be part of the Digital Marketing team in the Rational Interaction Studio. 

What you will do:

  • Own and develop digital brand strategy across paid and organic tactics on multiple channels
  • Develop, ideate, and own monthly content calendars – including copy suggestions, content themes, and cadence. Work with design team to see through to execution, providing feedback where necessary
  • Management of day-to-day social media activities in conjunction with Community Manager; oversee social profile management and ensure that it remains aligned to the wider strategy
  • Build, monitor, and optimize paid social campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other channels as required
  • Plan, track, and monitor monthly and quarterly media budgets
  • Provide comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly campaign reports
  • Aid in the development and evolution of influencer partnerships

What you will bring:

  • 3-7 years Digital Marketing Manager experience, preferably within an agency environment

Client Development Director

We’re looking for an experienced Client Development Director to lead Rational’s efforts in new client acquisition. This person is passionate about expanding revenue and owning substantial growth initiatives for the agency. In this role, you will partner closely with Rational’s leadership and business development teams to identify opportunities, initiate and maintain prospect partnerships, provide thought-leadership to key stakeholders, and develop sustainable portfolio growth strategies.

What you will do:

  • You will be responsible for generating and converting new opportunities to add new clients to our portfolio and managing other new business initiatives
  • Generate new leads for the company through outreach activities
  • Qualify leads and manage the sales process for select new business opportunities
  • You will provide counsel to clients, while managing the appropriate work streams on a variety of new business projects in a timely, deadline-focused basis

Usability Researcher

We are currently seeking a Usability Researcher to join the ASD Platform (Advanced Service Delivery) group at our client, Microsoft. This team is the engineering team within services who build out platforms for the org.

*This is an 8 month contract position with potential to extend up to 18 months. You will also have flexibility to partially work remote from home after ramping up, but anything on site will be in the Redmond office*

What you will do:

  • Draft, create, send, and analyze surveys
  • Perform literature reviews
  • Recruit interview subjects
  • Assist with user test preparation activities (scheduling study sessions and creating tasks for usability studies)
  • Run usability tests and build unmoderated tests (experience with remote usability testing tools such as UserZoom is a major plus)
  • Interview users
  • Analyze data (knowledge of SQL and PowerBI is a plus)
  • Articulate research findings

What you will do:

  • Research, design, develop, and write business process and troubleshooting documentation for Tier2 support.
  • Working with Content Lead and subject matter experts, identify areas of greatest documentation need
  • Update existing documentation, identify and link to partner-authored materials, and write new documentation as required.
  • Validate documentation accuracy and usefulness with subject matter experts, and publish documentation using internal tools.

Marketing Assistant

You can work remote from home but you need to be able to make the onsite meetings a few times a week in Redmond. Local candidates will only be considered.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a communication strategy for a Services team of 400+.
  • To include the creation of 'Walking Decks', monthly/quarterly/yearly communications templates.
  • Working in partnership with the broader Enterprise Services communications team.
  • Daily schedule: 40 hrs/wk M-F 8 hour day
  • Typical task breakdown and rhythm: 30%-50% interacting with stakeholders, interacting with leadership team, 50% developing walking decks and plans

Print Production Designer (Contract)

Are you passionate about design? Rational is seeking a motivated and hardworking Production Designer with strong print production and photo re-touching skills. This individual will join a team of production designers who create all print signage for our Redmond client’s retail stores. The majority of the day to day tasks will focus on updating existing and creating net new signage templates with provided copy and visual assets. Additionally, this designer will have strong experience in photo retouching of assets, as needed for print.

A successful candidate will have the ability to follow company brand guidelines and templates, with attention to detail and accuracy. This is a very fast-paced environment, so the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment is required. There will be a need to be comfortable working in an agency-like environment, be extremely detailed oriented and be a well-organized self-starter. For this is large tech company, candidates must have complete understanding and proficiency to work in a PC environment.

Are you passionate about creating content that drives customer engagement? We’re currently looking to find a rock star Content Strategist to join our team to develop content, brand voice, themes and imagery that will support our social efforts across the various channels within Microsoft’s Retail space. This individual will be a critical team member helping develop content that will resonate with the audience, and then execute an array of graphics to bring those concepts to life alongside the team’s social strategy to drive engagement, passion and advocacy for Microsoft products.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the optimization of web page production to both increase the value of each visitor to the client’s website and prompt engagement
  • Liaise with Content, Photo, Digital Services, Business Units, Impact Groups and Digital Marketing to ensure clear understanding of priorities and due dates
  • Oversee programming of landing pages to be aligned with the client’s brand using value metrics, strategic direction, audience segments, and web analytics
  • Ensure rollout of promotional support for enterprise programs and initiatives
  • Provide monthly channel-level and team-level metrics reporting, analyzing, charting, and provide insights for channel KPIs
  • Act as central liaison for internal editors, external vendors, copy editor, photo editors and other stakeholders.
  • Advise on improving content to drive performance based on user testing and analytics data.

What you will bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in content strategy, web production, and optimization management
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in digital media
  • Experience in technical writing and enterprise B2B
  • Experience in content management systems and digital channels including social, mobile and video
  • 3 years of experience in an editorial role
  • Experience in sourcing and managing vendors, and freelance content producers
  • Excellent communication, editing, presentation and project management skills, with proficiency in Google applications
  • Experience with Adobe’s AEM and Omniture’s Site Catalyst preferred
  • An understanding of Google AdWords and SEO keyword research
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
